Three Wheeled Buggies
Three-wheeled buggies are great for walking around the neighborhood or running. Their compact design allows them to be maneuvered easily even in tight spaces.
If you're looking for a smooth ride with your baby, select models with 360deg front wheels that swivel. However, they are prone to punctures, so be prepared with a repair kit.
Sturdy frame
New figures show that the three-wheeled buggies, the emblem of the noughties, which were more expensive than common sense, are in steep decline. They are being replaced by four-wheelers which can be more versatile in terrain, while still looking elegant and easy to push.
The larger the wheels are, the better your buggy will cope with bumpy and uneven pavements. The larger wheels both rear and front enable you to maneuver and more stable while walking downhill or over difficult terrain.
MFM reviewer Kath tried the buggy out with the newborn baby and a 3-year-old child and found it to be very durable. It was able to withstand cobbles, grass and rough pavements, as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. She said "it feels sturdy to push and is very stable when going over difficult terrain. The tyres, which are inflatable and need to be pumped up occasionally, have built-in suspension. This was extremely comfortable for my kids.
Another thing to think about is the seat size and shape. It is important for the seat to be large enough to allow your child to be comfortable and to allow them to lie down. Certain three-wheel buggies have the option of reclining completely, while others only allow for an adult facing one.

Larger wheels means that your buggy will be more stable on rough terrain - ideal for off-road buggies. They also make it easier to move the pushchair around tight spaces. A lot of three-wheeled buggies come with the front wheels that swivel to assist you in maneuvering around tight corners, whereas others are designed for running and come with fixed front wheels that lock to improve the speed and stability with the speed at which they can be pushed. This also helps if you bump into an unintentional tree root or kerb as the front wheel can be lifted up to keep you from hitting it.
A lot of 3 wheel pushchairs have air-filled tyres, which means they can handle different terrains and are far more flexible than 4-wheeler. They also tend to be lighter. They are more prone to punctures, so you will require a repair kit and spare inner tube in your arsenal.

Fortunately, the majority of models come with compact folding options that allow you to take off the front wheels to make compact storage.
Easy to manoeuvre
One of the major advantages to a three wheel buggy is that it can be much easier to maneuver, especially with a child on the way. They are designed to ensure that the front wheels rotate at a moment's notice, and are easy to maneuver, making them perfect for terrains that are difficult, such as parks, cobblestones, bumpy roads, and dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tried the 3-wheeler with her toddler, and she said: "The Terrain is a joy to maneuver in rough terrain. The front swivel wheel was particularly helpful." I was also amazed by the way it handled kerbs when using the hand-operated break. I found it extremely steady when I was driving downhill or over uneven ground."
The only drawback of this great maneuverability is that the 3 wheel buggy's bigger wheels sometimes mean that it can be difficult to maneuver in tight spaces - something to keep in mind when you live in a metropolitan region. If this is a problem then a 4-wheeler might be better for you.
